Diploma in Automobile Engineering is a 3 years long program. Automobile Engineering course trains students in areas such as- automobile design, vehicle engineering, electrical and electronic systems used in vehicles, braking, material science, engines, fuels and lubricants etc. It follows the semester system of learning. Each academic year is divided into two semesters, with each semester lasting for a period of 6 months.
An automobile engineer is a person who has been trained to take on various jobs in automobile industry, such as- designing, developing, inspecting, manufacturing and testing motor vehicles and their parts. They are also capable of carrying out diagnostic work (problem finding) and carrying out repair works if necessary!
