Tourism Studies

The Bachelor in Tourism Studies is designed to prepare students for career entry or positions in commercial, public, or non-profit organisations providing visitor/ tourism services at the local, national, or international level. Successful candidates will, during the three year bachelor programme/ one year diploma programme, gain appropriate knowledge in tourism industry and as a social phenomenon, insight into the intersection of production, marketing and consumption, as well as society, culture, and nature. The programme places particular emphasis on how nature and culture can be used by a responsible industry. It builds on theories of marketing, event management, sociology, geography, and anthropology.
